Kids Day Festival 2024

Kids Day Festival at Bel Air Park in Weed was the place to be for every Siskiyou County child and family.

The park was filled with games, crafts, raffles, music, food, and shows all aimed for kids and it was all free.

Steve Bryan with Siskiyou Family Community Resource Collaborative hosted this fun and informative event to help educate families and get parents into more activities with their children while building better social connections with all the services available in Siskiyou County.

“This is our 9th Annual Kids Day Festival. Every year it gets bigger and better. This year we had over 1500 people attend.”  Bryan continues, “April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. We have over 25 community partners and vendors providing free activities for kids while promoting their services.

We have 3 bounce houses

live music by the Wild Roots Band who gave out gazoos for the children to play along, a drum circle and so much more. The Public Health Service was here with their free mobile clinic.

The Weed Fire Department gave tours of their fire engine

Corporal Green with the Weed Police brought Drax the police dog to teach about working with a community team dog.

Food from Caso Ramos, the Weed Rotary, Siskiyou Community Resource Collaborative, and others was provided all for free. We have tons of volunteers including Weed High School boys called Friday Night Live Chapter promoting ‘Break the Vape Campaign’.”
